Rococo Dark with Caramelised Almonds

I've had many a pleasant experience with Rococo's various chocolate products, this one was no different; although my preference is hazelnuts in chocolate if almonds are done particularly well it can always hit a spot with me. Rococo's bar consists of well dispersed crunchy caramelised almond shards dotted throughout 65% organic dark chocolate.

Rococo Dark Chocolate with Caramelised Almonds

As usual Rococo's packaging is delightful; a unique artistic experience, and opening the bar out of its silver foil wrapping you are met with a delightful shiny looking bar of dark chocolate neatly sectioned complete with the Rococo name,

My nose was initially hit with lovely light fruit smelling notes that is resonated in the melt of the chocolate; placing a piece of my tongue I initially got light acidic fruity notes, with hints of oranges, cherries and berries before leading way to slightly sweeter flavours until you are left with the lovely crunchy almond shards. I loved to let the chocolate melt until it was nearly all gone and all was left was the chocolate almond slivers surrounded in gooey melted chocolate and then just crunch away on them..making for a delightful experience!

Whether I would buy this chocolate bar again I'm not so sure; it didn't really make such a huge impact on me that I would rush out and buy it again but it most certainly was pleasant and I certainly would recommend it to anyone looking for a good nut based chocolate bar!
