If you hadn't guessed by reading so far although I am partial a really good quality chocolate, I love the novelty stuff : cute creatures/cute designs + chocolate and I'm sold. I love it around this time of year when the stores start to get all of their festive chocolate products in and one that always appeals to me is the cute Lindt characters that are always around in abundance.
The Lindt Milk Chocolate Bear first made it's appearance last year, but I didn't get round to doing a review on the site, this year it has once again returned and is helping to raise £100,000 for BBC Children in Need 2012. In the run up to the BBC Children
in Need Appeal which culminates on 16th November 2012, there will be a
special charity auction of limited edition porcelain Lindt Bears - each
signed by a well known celebrity and Lindt has pledged to raise and donate £100,000 ahead of the live show on November 16th.
Not only are these bears extremely cute; wrapped in gold foil and decorated with their own heart necklace ribbon but of course they are made with the classic delicious Lindt milk chocolate. I know I say this time and time again but I really do have a soft spot for Lindt, to me it equals Christmas; comforting and warm, something to crack open on Christmas night to bring an end to the day and of course they make for a perfect stocking filler.
The chocolate is the usual creamy, Swiss, malt flavoured milk chocolate moulded into the shape of the bear - with the usual bottom and top being the most satisfying pieces to eat due to the gorgeously thick chocolate. It melts in the mouth wonderfully and is great dipped in a warm mug of tea to quicken the melting process..or if you're feeling greedy just go ahead and bite into it straight away!
Whether you want to buy one of these before Children In Need to support that or if you plan to buy one later for more of a Christmas treat ; either way these are a great novelty chocolate product for lovers of Lindt and anyone who is partial to a bit of chocolate cuteness!
Taste - 8.6/10 - The usual delicious Lindt chocolate flavour, unassuming yet so satisfying.

Anyone who loves Lindt chocolate will adore this; also a great present for kids at Christmas time.
