Cornetto Chocolate

So the Magnum chocolate variety has been sampled, its about time that the Cornetto got its fair share of eating and reviewing too!

Despite being quite partial to a Cornetto its an ice cream that I very rarely buy; although after having sampled this its got me back in the mood and what with the weather being nice in the UK at the moment I just may have to pop out and reignite my love affair with the tasty ice cream!

Cornetto Chocolate

This miniature version is probably about a 1/5th of the size of a regular Cornetto and instead of the usual vanilla ice cream it instead consists of a vanilla mousse; this however is the only part that's different. There's still the same wrapper packaging, the crunchy waffle cone, the nuts atop and the delightful thick chocolate surprise at the bottom of the cone. Yum!

Cornetto Chocolate

The vanilla mousse is light and fluffy and is delicious to tuck into without the worry that your ice cream is going to melt and drip everywhere! Whilst the crunchy waffle cone and the crisp nuts add a nice texture contrast; need I say that the chocolate at the bottom was delicious and the perfect way to finish this tasty morsel!

Again Kinnerton have done a great job replicating this ice cream classic; it pretty much tastes just like a Cornetto whilst satisfying any sweet cravings albeit on a smaller scale. I can't decide whether I preferred this to the Magnum variety; I think it would depend what mood I was in. Either way this was another yummy addition to our chocolate market!

Cornetto Chocolate

Taste - 7.5/10
- A nice vanilla mousse and tastes pretty similar to a Cornetto.

Texture - 8.4/10 - The texture of the mousse was light and fluffy whilst the crispy waffle cone and crunchy nuts added a nice contrast.
Appearance - 9/10 - Looks just like a Cornetto.
Price - 6.3/10 - This is priced at around 60p; however weighing in at around 20g it isn't great value for money.
Overall - 7.8/10 - Makes me want to go out and buy a Cornetto ice cream now!
WHO FOR?A nice small tasty treat that anyone would enjoy.

WHERE TO BUY?The only place I've seen these so far is Asda.

  1. maybe kinnerton forgot Conosnck Messori, that Messori Cioccolato produced since 2007...that's very similar...

  2. That mini cone tastes far better than Cornetto. Less known, more yummy! ;)
