I love autumn for numerous reasons - cosy jumpers, golden colours, crisp leaves...but one of the main reasons has got to be the influx of pumpkin spice flavoured products. Unfortunately in the U.K I can't say we're so lucky to have ventured beyond Starbucks but I was fortunate enough to have a family member bring me multiple pumpkin spice items back from their travels + with the internet these days and the number of import sites around even if this wasn't the case products are normally easy enough to get your hands on!
All of the M&M's pumpkin spice products in the last few years have been milk chocolate based so I was very excited to see how the flavour would work in white chocolate, which in my opinion would allow the full flavour of the pumpkin spice to shine without being masked by a deeper milk chocolate flavour or like last year's Pumpkin Spice Latte the addition of coffee.
The M&M's come in three colours: brown, vibrant orange and a pale sort of cream/pastel orange colour. As with all the American M&M's these are bigger than their U.K counterpart. A few weeks prior to trying these I had my first pumpkin spice frappuccino of the season - however rather than using a coffee base I opted for the pumpkin spice syrup to be blended straight into a cream frappuccino base, it was delicious. These M&M's tasted exactly like that.
Due to having a white chocolate base the full flavour of the sweet spiced pumpkin is allowed to shine. Granted you need quite a big sweet tooth to enjoy these but thankfully I didn't find them cloying thanks to the creamy vanilla notes offered by the white chocolate, there was no throat burning sweetness going on which can sometimes be an issue with products like this.
I found them so incredibly moreish and for my basic pumpkin spice needs they most definitely hit the spot, in fact I'd go as far as to say that they are probably the best pumpkin spice chocolate I've tried. I do feel these would have been more appropriately named just 'white pumpkin spice', there's not really much of a pie element about these. However I really wish more companies would opt for white chocolate as a base, it works so much better. I'm just sad that I only have one bag of these to last me...although with the internet these days....
Taste - 8.7/10 - Sweet but oh so delicious, creamy white chocolate and sweetly spiced pumpkin pie.
Texture - 8.0/10 - Fairly standard smooth chocolate and crunchy candy shells, I do prefer the larger size of the American version though, they feel much more satisfying.
Appearance - 7.7/10 - Packaging is cute, love the colours opted for.
Price - 7.0/10 - In the U.S these are around a few dollars. In the U.K you would have to buy them online at around £5+- they are quite expensive but I think they're one of the limited edition M&M's that are definitely worth it if you love pumpkin spice.
Overall - 7.9/10 - Delicious, debating on stocking up on these before they disappear....

WHERE TO BUY?
In the U.S these were purchased at Target. In the U.K online as previously mentioned, eBay or A Taste of the States here or The Protein Pick and Mix here. Pretty much if you search on Google you'll be able to find somewhere online that stocks them.
